The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) has declared a three-day warning strike starting from March 20, citing the non-payment of four months’ withheld salaries as the reason for the industrial action.

In a letter addressed to the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, NAAT President Ibeji Nwokoma highlighted the decision, which was reached during the union’s National Executive Council emergency virtual meeting. The strike action, along with a nationwide protest on the first day, is a response to the ongoing financial challenges faced by NAAT members.

Despite efforts to resolve the issue, including discussions with relevant authorities, the association has deemed it necessary to escalate their concerns through this warning strike.
