Nigeria is set to take a bold step toward its long-term economic ambitions with the launch of the New Nigeria Festival, a national platform designed to accelerate innovation, attract global investment, and support the country’s goal of building a $1 trillion economy by 2030. The initiative will debut at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, bringing together key players across government, business, technology, and the global diaspora.

Organised under the theme “Great Ideas, Bold Execution,” the two-day festival is positioned as more than a traditional conference. It is designed as an economic movement aimed at bridging the gap between policy and implementation, while connecting innovative ideas directly with investors and decision-makers who can turn them into scalable ventures.

According to the organisers, the platform will focus on enterprise development, job creation, foreign direct investment, and innovation-led growth. Executive Producer and Project Coordinator Paul Peters described the initiative as a “trusted platform where transformative ideas meet bold execution,” adding that Nigeria’s vast talent pool must be matched with the right partnerships and capital to unlock sustainable growth.

A major highlight of the festival will be the National Innovation and Enterprise Pitch Platform, where more than 100 youth-led startups will showcase their ideas to investors, corporate leaders, and development partners. Selected ventures will gain access to funding opportunities, mentorship, and strategic business partnerships, supported by the New Nigeria Innovation Pipeline, which helps move ideas from incubation to market readiness.

The event will also feature high-level discussions, investment forums, sector-focused exhibitions, and a dedicated deal room to connect businesses with both public and private sector stakeholders. With participation expected from top figures including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and leading industry CEOs, organisers believe the festival could become a turning point in strengthening Nigeria’s innovation ecosystem and global investment appeal.
