The Federal Government plans to release approximately 58,500 metric tonnes of milled rice to the market as a measure to stabilize prices. Agriculture Minister Sen. Abubakar Kyari revealed this initiative, highlighting collaboration with NEMA and the DSS to distribute 42,000 metric tons of grains across all states and the FCT. The distribution, scheduled to commence this week, aims to ensure fair allocation to those in need. Additionally, 58,500 metric tonnes of milled rice from mega rice millers will be released to further support market stabilization efforts.
