The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) has named Mrs. Afolake Oso as the acting registrar/chief executive of the institute, according to a statement by Mrs. Oyeronke Ojo, the Director of Corporate and Internal Services.
Oso began her tenure at the CITN as a manager in the research department in 2008 and steadily climbed the ranks within the organization. She assumed the role of acting head of education and research in 2015, and served as the head of the corporate affairs department in 2018 and later assumed the role of acting deputy director, corporate services, membership, and external relations as part of a restructuring exercise in 2020.
With a background in law, Oso’s professional journey at the CITN continued to evolve, culminating in her appointment as deputy registrar, technical and professional services in 2021. Her wealth of experience and proven track record in different departments within the institute made her a fitting choice for the role of acting registrar/chief executive.
