The Dangote Petroleum Refinery announced its imminent entry into refined petroleum production as it received the 6th batch of one million barrels of crude oil, a crucial requirement for its initial operations. The refinery expressed readiness to commence production following the delivery of the final consignment of Agbami crude via MT ALMI SUN, completing the scheduled six million barrels needed for the start of operations at the world’s largest single-train refinery. A month ago, the refinery received its first one million barrels of Agbami crude from Shell International Trading and Shipping Company Limited. The significance of this latest development lies in its potential to address fuel supply challenges not only in Nigeria but also in West African countries. The Dangote Petroleum Refinery’s operational initiation holds promise for contributing positively to the region’s energy landscape.
