Stakeholders in the nation’s marine sector have criticized the Federal Government over the $3.2 billion Nigeria Customs Service modernization project.

Saleh Ahmadu, the Chairman of the Trade Modernization Project Limited, the facility’s concessionaire, claimed last week that the Customs modernization project would bring the Federal Government $200 billion in revenue.

At the project’s inauguration in Abuja, Ahmadu said that a total of $3.2 billion will be invested in it. He emphasized the necessity for the government to assess the initiative and pointed out that those involved are professionals in their disciplines.
