A rise in some non-immigrant visa application (NIV) processing fees has been announced by the US.
The increases took effect on May 30, 2023, and were announced in the Federal Register on March 28, 2023.

The cost of visiting visas (B1/B2 and BCC), as well as other non-petition based NIVs including student and exchange visitor visas, will rise from $160 to $185. Some petition-based temporary worker non-immigrant visas (H, L, O, P, Q, and R categories) will now cost $205 instead of $190.

The U.S. government stated in the paper that “the charge for a treaty trader, treaty investor, and treaty applicants in a speciality occupation (E category) will increase from $205 to $315.”
