FEC Approves N24.2 Billion For Free WiFi At Markets And Airports.

The Nigerian cabinet has approved N24.2 billion for the installation of Internet access at 20 airports, several educational institutions, and markets nationwide.

He claims that the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will take the lead in setting up Internet services at the approved institutions and airports.

To promote micro, small, and medium-sized businesses, internet will be made available in 20 Nigerian airports that have been specifically chosen, as well as in several markets and higher educational institutions. He added that 43 higher education institutions would be connected to the Internet facility.

Speaking to the media as well, Dr. Mohammed Abdullahi, the Minister of the Environment, disclosed that the Council had sanctioned N41.4 billion for the development of a Center of Excellence for environmental rehabilitation in Rivers’ Kana Local Government Area.
