The president of Tanzania, has canceled the Independence Day festivities that were set to take place this Friday, December 9. Hassan ordered that the $445,000 allotted for the 61st Independence Day celebration be used to construct dormitories for kids with special needs.
Eight dormitories will be built in primary schools across the nation with the help of the funding. George Simbachawene, Tanzania’s minister of state, announced that the funds had been distributed.
He stated that in honor of Independence Day, public discussions on development will be held in the nation of East Africa. The celebration has frequently been postponed by previous Tanzanian administrations.
