The Federal Government said that $1 billion in stolen cash had been found since President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had begun.

Abubakar Malami, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, informed media at the State House. He said that the confiscated assets had been used in a number of economic areas, including the fight against poverty.

In contrast, the Buhari administration, he claimed, had so far sentenced more than 3,000 convicts. While the government had only recorded 109 convictions before to 2015.

The council also approved a N14 billion budget addition for the Dantata and Sawoe-awarded Kano Western Bypass Road project.
