According to Dr. Abdulrazaq Garba, Director-General of the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency, Nigeria possesses limestone deposits in 14 states totaling roughly 10. 6 billion tons.

Sokoto, Gombe, Benue, Kogi, Edo, Oyo, Ogun, Cross River, Ondo, Plateau, Bauchi, Akwa-Ibom, Enugu, and Ebonyi are some of the 14 states.

During his presentation at the seventh retreat for the NGSA governing board, he disclosed this information. The NGSA DG also mentioned that there were about 4. 8 billion tons of marble resources in the nation spread across nine states.

The country’s nine states, including the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Ondo, Edo, Oyo, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, and Kebbi states, are home to an estimated 4. 8 billion tons of marble resources.
