Ethiopian Airlines has announced plans to expand its weekly flights to Rome, Italy, increasing the frequency to 10 flights per week starting December 1, 2024.

This expansion coincides with the airline’s 60th anniversary of uninterrupted service to Rome, which it celebrated with a vibrant event attended by government officials, corporate guests, stakeholders, and airline executives in the Eternal City.

The increase in flight frequency aims to enhance travel flexibility and connectivity for passengers, reinforcing the importance of the Rome route within Ethiopian Airlines’ global network.

Mr. Mesfin Tasew, Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of Ethiopian Airlines, expressed pride in reaching this milestone, highlighting the airline’s commitment to connecting people and fostering economic growth between Africa and Europe.

Since launching its service to Rome, Ethiopian Airlines has expanded its operations to include Milan since 2011, currently offering daily flights to both cities using modern aircraft to ensure passenger comfort.

The airline serves over 24 destinations in Europe and is continually expanding its network, with upcoming additions such as Port Sudan and Dhaka.
