Mastercard has introduced a new Bitcoin debit card in partnership with crypto payment company Mercuryo. This card allows users to make purchases directly with Bitcoin, just like using a regular debit card. It is non-custodial, meaning users have full control over their crypto assets, unlike centralized wallets.

The Bitcoin debit card is being launched in Europe first, letting Bitcoin holders access more than 100 million merchants who accept Mastercard.

Users will be able to pay directly with Bitcoin while avoiding the complexity of using crypto exchanges for transactions.

Mastercard has also partnered with other Web 3 companies, like MetaMask and Immersive, to push for more self-custody options in the crypto world.

With low fees and easy access, this new Bitcoin debit card aims to make everyday crypto transactions more convenient for users around the world.
