Petrol: Oil marketers propose N550/litre price to Dangote

As the Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC Limited, works to alleviate petrol scarcity in Lagos and its surroundings, Dangote Refinery and oil marketers are actively finalizing decisions on pricing and petrol delivery to filling stations nationwide.

Currently, depot owners purchase petrol from NNPC Limited at N556 per litre and sell to independent marketers at N640 per litre.Independent marketers have proposed a price of N550 per litre to Dangote Refinery, with whom they are in discussions.

Alhaji Abubakar Migandi Garima, President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), confirmed this, stating that the ongoing discussions cover pricing, margins, and other related matters.The proposed lifting price of N550 per litre in Lagos may vary in different parts of Nigeria due to factors such as distance and delivery costs.
