NCC: 22.3 million jobs and $13.2 trillion in economic output will be created by 5G technology.

By 2035, the introduction of 5G technological services, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), will increase global economic value by $13.2 trillion and create 22.3 million jobs.

During a stakeholders’ conference titled “Talk to the Regulator Forum” in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, over the weekend, Mr. Adeleke Adewolu, Executive Commissioner, Stakeholders Management of NCC, revealed this.

According to him, Nigeria would maximize the benefits of the fourth industrial revolution while being adequately prepared for any associated danger that may arise thanks to the recent deployment of Fifth Generation Technology (5G) services in the nation.

He added that the purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the commission’s work as a regulator and to gather input from important stakeholders on how the industry affects their daily lives as well as the role of the regulator in enhancing the same.
