22 Nigerian Universities Receive a N5 billion Grant from AbdulSamad Rabiu.

The Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa initiative has disbursed a grant of N5.5 billion to 22 academic institutions in Nigeria. Each of the institutions received N250 million under the ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant Scheme, according to a statement from the social development specialist for ASR Africa, Edidiong Idang.

Through its yearly $100 million Africa Fund for Sustainable Development and Renewal, ASR Africa, an initiative of African industrialist and Chairman of the BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, seeks to address developmental issues affecting health, education, and social development within Africa.

Idang claimed that the plan would also collaborate with institutions from the public and private sectors in Nigeria and other African nations to encourage education.
