NRC Promises Increased Security On The Train Line Between Abuja And Kaduna

In response to an alleged conspiracy by Boko Haram to carry out another assault, the Federal Government has pledged to increase security along the Abuja-Kaduna rail line.

In response to the DSS letter, the minister of transportation sent the minister of defense a letter, addressed to him and with the subject line “Re: Threat by Boko Haram terrorists to attack the Abuja-Kaduna train service.”

Also, there will be trained police officers stationed at every station along the Abuja-Kaduna corridor.”
Yet, there were no armed security guards present when our journalist went to the Idu railway station last week.

On the condition of anonymity, a source from the Nigerian Railway Corporation said “There is no security, and just two police officers are playing games.
