Ikorodu Road is blocked as a result of two containers slipping off the back of a trailer on the Mile 12 bridge leading out of Ikorodu.
Due to the traffic on the bridge, many commuters have turned to trekking. The Majidun area of the road is now completely congested with traffic.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency are reportedly working frantically to control the gridlock that has resulted from the incident, according to reports, two containers fell off the back of a trailer on the Mile 12 bridge in Kosofe, paralyzing bridge traffic.
LASTMA reported the incident on its Twitter account. The bridge is being used as a detour for vehicles.
Majidun has a backlog of traffic. As it battled the ensuing gridlock, the traffic management organization requested patience.
