A high-powered delegation from the National Population Commission, NPC, visited the BETA Computers facility in Surulere, Lagos; in accordance with the President’s Executive Order on the adoption of local content in all Federal government projects.
The BETA team lead by the MD, gave the NPC team a tour of the facility and detailed the operations. Placing a strong focus on the superior quality of the company’s SPEEDSTAR brand of computer hardware.
He promised that they were not only favourably inclined to cooperating with BETA on only the 2023 census as a one-off occurrence; but also on their continuous enumeration program that will be implemented over the following years.
He emphasized NPC’s dedication to the creation of indigenous IT content in order to give Nigeria’s burgeoning youths decent employment.
In his speech, a federal commissioner on the NPC team, said the panel was committed to providing a census devoid of controversy and with no opportunity for error, which is why they chose to deploy technology and a digital census.
