Dangote Says Tinubu Reforms Are Driving Refinery Growth, Investor Confidence

Aliko Dangote, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, has linked the growing operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex to the economic reforms of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Dangote said the reforms were creating a more favourable environment for businesses to invest, expand operations and plan with greater certainty. According to him, the policy direction of the Federal Government is strengthening investor confidence while supporting domestic industrialisation and reducing Nigeria’s dependence on imported petroleum products.

He noted that policies targeting local refining capacity, energy security, value addition and lower import dependence had contributed to the refinery’s progress. Dangote also said ongoing fiscal, monetary and regulatory reforms were improving macroeconomic stability, productivity and Nigeria’s attractiveness to investors.

The business mogul said the refinery’s rising production capacity and growing export footprint were contributing to Nigeria’s economic recovery through foreign exchange generation, job creation and stronger local supply chains. He added that the operations of the refinery, petrochemical plant and fertiliser business were helping to position Nigeria as a major energy and manufacturing hub in Africa.

Dangote, however, stressed that sustained policy consistency and stronger collaboration between government and the private sector would be critical to maintaining the momentum. He reaffirmed Dangote Industries Limited’s commitment to investing in strategic sectors, creating jobs and supporting Nigeria’s drive towards a more self-reliant and competitive economy.
