Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced another reduction in the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel), offering fresh relief to fuel marketers, businesses, and consumers across Nigeria. The new prices, which took effect on Thursday, August 6, 2026, underscore the refinery’s continued commitment to making quality petroleum products more affordable while ensuring a steady supply to the domestic market.
Under the revised pricing structure, the ex-depot price of petrol has been reduced from ₦1,215 to ₦1,165 per litre, representing a ₦50 decrease. Diesel also witnessed a significant price adjustment, dropping by ₦80 per litre from ₦1,650 to ₦1,570. The latest cuts are expected to influence fuel distribution costs and could eventually translate into lower pump prices for consumers, depending on marketers and retail outlets.
According to Dangote Refinery, the price review is part of its broader strategy to improve energy affordability, increase access to refined petroleum products, and stimulate economic activities across the country.
