Dimension Data Limited has successfully secured ₦4.05 billion through the first tranche of its ₦20 billion corporate bond programme, marking a major milestone in its mission to strengthen Nigeria’s digital infrastructure. The successful bond issuance highlights growing investor confidence in the company’s long-term vision and provides fresh capital to accelerate the expansion of its fibre network across the country.

The company announced that the funds will be used to expand its fibre infrastructure to meet the rising demand for reliable digital connectivity from businesses, financial institutions, fintech companies, and other technology-driven industries. As Nigeria continues to embrace digital transformation, the investment is expected to improve internet capacity and support the country’s rapidly evolving digital economy.

Speaking during the bond signing ceremony, Managing Director of Dimension Data Limited, Olugbenga Olabiyi, described the successful fundraising as a significant vote of confidence from investors and strategic partners. He noted that the company remains committed to delivering more than technology solutions by building infrastructure that empowers businesses, drives innovation, and supports Nigeria’s long-term digital growth. Olabiyi also expressed appreciation to the company’s customers, board members, advisers, and financial partners for their continued trust and collaboration throughout the process.

Also speaking at the event, Managing Partner of Mbavaa Partners Limited and Director of Dimension Data SPV Limited, Shatse Kakwagh, described the transaction as the result of nearly two years of strategic planning, collaboration, and market confidence. He emphasized that the successful fundraising represents the beginning of a broader growth journey rather than its final destination. Meanwhile, Pathway Advisors Limited, the Lead Issuing House and Book Runner, praised investors for backing the bond despite a market that has increasingly favored short-term investments, calling the strong participation a clear endorsement of Dimension Data’s long-term growth strategy.

With cloud computing, digital financial services, artificial intelligence, and data-heavy applications continuing to expand across Nigeria, demand for high-capacity fibre infrastructure is expected to rise significantly. By investing in network expansion through its bond programme, Dimension Data is positioning itself to play a vital role in powering Nigeria’s digital future while creating a stronger foundation for businesses and innovation in one of Africa’s fastest-growing technology markets.
