Dun & Bradstreet has entered a strategic partnership with artificial intelligence company Anthropic to enhance compliance and business verification processes through AI-powered technology. The collaboration will see Dun & Bradstreet’s extensive business risk and identity data integrated into Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, enabling organisations to streamline customer onboarding, due diligence, and regulatory compliance activities.
At the heart of the partnership is Dun & Bradstreet’s Commercial Graph, a vast global database containing business identities and risk indicators. By embedding this information into Claude, financial institutions and other regulated organisations will be able to conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Know Your Business (KYB) checks through a single AI-driven platform. The move is expected to simplify compliance procedures that often involve time-consuming manual verification processes.
Industry experts believe the integration could significantly reduce onboarding delays while helping businesses make faster and more informed decisions. As organisations face increasing regulatory requirements and growing volumes of customer data, AI-powered compliance automation is emerging as a critical tool for improving efficiency without compromising accuracy.
Speaking on the development, Group Director, Products, Dun & Bradstreet South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Nauman Lakhani, said the partnership brings together advanced artificial intelligence and trusted business intelligence. According to him, connecting AI with verified business context will enable organisations to strengthen governance, improve confidence in decision-making, and gain clearer insights in real-world business environments where precision is essential.
The solution is built around the globally recognised D-U-N-S Number, which provides a reliable method of identifying businesses across international markets. Dun & Bradstreet noted that the partnership reflects a growing trend towards intelligence-led enterprise operations, where AI is increasingly combined with trusted data sources to drive governance, compliance, and operational efficiency. The company currently supports data-driven decision-making through a global network covering more than 600 million business entities worldwide.
