ANOH Gas Processing Company (AGPC) has officially delivered its first batch of processed natural gas to Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG), signaling a major shift from project execution to full commercial operations. The milestone marks a significant achievement for Nigeria’s midstream gas infrastructure and its ongoing efforts to boost domestic and export gas supply.

The gas was transported via the 23.3-kilometre NGIC spur line and the Oando pipeline network, showcasing AGPC’s readiness to provide safe and reliable gas delivery. In a statement, Olufemi Olokode, AGPC’s Manager of External Affairs and Communications, emphasized that this first delivery highlights the company’s technical expertise and operational capabilities.

Located in Assa, Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant has a processing capacity of 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd). The plant’s start of operations aligns with the Federal Government’s Decade of Gas Initiative, which aims to position natural gas as a key driver for energy security, industrial growth, and a cleaner energy transition.

Beyond meeting energy goals, the ANOH project has generated significant socio-economic benefits for the host communities in Imo State. AGPC reported that local employment, skills development, and stakeholder engagement have all increased since the project’s inception, demonstrating how energy infrastructure can create tangible local impact.

AGPC, a joint venture between NNPC Limited and Seplat Energy Plc, reaffirmed its commitment to safe operations, regulatory compliance, and sustainable value creation. The company also highlighted that the ANOH milestone strengthens NLNG’s feedstock supply, boosting Nigeria’s export volumes and foreign exchange earnings while supporting the country’s long-term energy aspirations.
