Lagos State has announced a strategic partnership with Marketing Analytics Africa (MAA) to host the 2025 African Marketing Technology & E-commerce Conference (AMTEC). The event, themed “Marketing in the New Economy: Data-Driven Success in Challenging Times”, will be held on May 24, 2025, at the Landmark Events & Conference Centre in Victoria Island. It aims to foster collaboration among marketers, investors, and top brands across Africa, offering a high-impact platform to explore innovations in marketing and e-commerce.

The Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) emphasized its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and job creation through strategic initiatives such as AMTEC. The partnership with MAA aligns with the state’s broader vision of transforming Lagos into a leading hub for marketing technology and digital commerce on the continent. According to the LSETF, such events are crucial to equipping local talent with the tools and connections needed to thrive in a data-driven economy.

Victor Ojeakhena, co-founder and CEO of MAA, highlighted that AMTEC is more than a conference—it’s a platform for digital empowerment. He noted the annual event focuses on helping brands adopt innovative strategies, build sustainable partnerships, and drive scalable growth amid economic volatility. AMTEC 2025 aims to tackle the challenges facing businesses by leveraging data and advanced marketing technologies.

The conference has already secured participation from high-profile brands and regulatory bodies, including Colgate, DStv Nigeria, Sterling Bank, First Bank, Indomie, and the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON). These organizations will contribute insights on marketing trends, regulatory shifts, and consumer engagement strategies, offering attendees practical knowledge to navigate today’s complex marketing environment.

Beyond information sharing, AMTEC 2025 is positioned as a powerful networking platform. Organisers stress that it will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders—marketers, entrepreneurs, executives, and investors—to forge partnerships and co-create solutions that can reshape Africa’s digital economy. The event underlines Lagos’s growing role in driving innovation and connectivity across the continent’s marketing and commerce sectors.
