The Teamsters executive board is meeting in Washington on Wednesday to decide its endorsement for the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

With 1.3 million members, the union’s choice could impact key battleground states like Michigan, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, where union influence is significant.

Teamsters President Sean O’Brien indicated that a decision could be made as early as Wednesday after recent meetings with Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.

The union’s endorsement, historically leaning towards Democrats, may be influenced by polling results and recent criticisms of Trump.

While most major unions have backed Harris, O’Brien emphasized that the Teamsters are exploring all options and will carefully consider the best choice for their members before finalizing their endorsement.
