FAKE NEWS ALERT: No Explosion At Zungeru Hydroelectric Dam, Say ED, Police

Siraj Abdullahi, executive director of the Zungeru hydroelectric dam in Niger state, refuted reports of an explosion at the facility. These reports claimed that a Chinese engineer was injured during a routine check due to an explosion.

Abdullahi described these allegations as a “wicked lie” and confirmed that operations at the dam are proceeding normally.

Wasiu Abiodun, spokesperson for the Niger state police command, also denied the explosion reports, urging the public to disregard the false information.

Both Abdullahi and Abiodun assured that there were no incidents at the dam, and Abdullahi mentioned that a video rebuttal would be released soon to further address the fake news.
