Gas Supply Gets 25% Boost As Tinubu Unveils 3 Projects

President Bola Tinubu recently commissioned three significant gas projects aimed at enhancing energy supply and fostering industrial growth in Nigeria. These projects include the expansion of the AHL Gas Processing Plant, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, and the 23.3km ANOH-Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Custody Transfer Metering Station Gas Pipeline across Delta and Imo states.

While the president virtually oversaw the commissioning, the Minister of Petroleum (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, and the governors of the host communities were present physically.

President Tinubu highlighted the importance of these projects in accelerating the development of critical gas infrastructure to boost industrial growth and create employment opportunities in the country.The president commended the strategic vision of NNPC Limited and its partners, Sterling Oil Exploration & Energy Production Company Limited (SEEPCO), and Seplat Energy Plc, for their role in executing these laudable projects.

Additionally, Mr. Ekpo emphasized the administration’s commitment to increasing spending in upstream and midstream gas development, promoting the use of gas as a cleaner and more cost-effective alternative to diesel and gasoline, especially with the elimination of fuel subsidies.
