Tinubu Orders Completion of Inland Dry Ports Nationwide

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Sen. George Akume, has directed the swift completion of all unfinished inland dry ports across Nigeria to enhance commerce, international trade, and job creation. This directive came during the inauguration of the Funtua Inland Dry Port in Katsina. Tinubu emphasized the ports’ role in supporting economic diversification and instructed relevant ministries to ensure their full utilization to decongest seaports and streamline international business operations.

Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, highlighted the importance of the Funtua Inland Dry Port for trade with neighboring African nations. Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Shippers Council, Mr. Pius Akutah, assured adherence to regulations for the port’s management.

Chairman of the Funtua Inland Dry Port, Alhaji Umaru Mutallab, emphasized its contribution to economic development and job creation in the North-West zone. Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State expressed gratitude for the project and urged the extension of the AKK project to Funtua to further boost investments.
