Nigeria’s exports to Netherlands hit N1.9 trillion in Q4

According to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria exported goods worth N1.9 trillion to The Netherlands in the fourth quarter of 2023, marking it as the top importer of Nigerian goods during this period.

The trade between the two countries accounted for 15.05 percent of Nigeria’s total exports. The major commodities exported to The Netherlands included petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals, crude, valued at N1.7 trillion, superior cocoa beans worth N60.5 billion, and standard quality cocoa beans worth N32.5 billion.

In contrast, Nigeria imported goods valued at N482.4 billion during the same period, with petrol being the most traded commodity at N306 billion, followed by “gas oil” valued at N75.3 billion, and “Blue whitings (micromesistius poutassou and micromesistius australis) meat” at N13.5 billion, among others.
