Zenith Bank Plc has been honored as the Best Bank in Nigeria at the Global Finance Best Banks Awards 2024, securing the prestigious award for the fourth time since 2019.
The bank was among the distinguished institutions from 36 African countries recognized in the annual event, which announced its 31st Annual Best Bank Awards Winners.
The selection process for the awards involved extensive consultations with corporate financial executives, bankers, and banking consultants worldwide by the editors of Global Finance. Factors considered ranged from quantitative and objective criteria such as growth in assets, profitability, and geographic reach, to informed subjective criteria including new business development, strategic relationships, and innovation in products.
Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, the outgoing Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank, expressed gratitude for the award, highlighting it as a testament to the bank’s resilience and tenacity in navigating challenges amid a demanding macroeconomic environment.
