South Africa’s producer inflation slows to 4.5%
Statistics South Africa reported that South Africa’s producer inflation rate eased to 4.5% year-on-year in February, down from 4.7% in January.
Additionally, on a month-on-month basis, the Producer Price Index increased to 0.5% in February compared to 0.1% in January.
These figures indicate a moderation in the pace of price increases for goods at the producer level, suggesting a potential alleviation of inflationary pressures in the country’s economy.
