The Government of National Unity in Libya has temporarily suspended its oil and gas minister, citing a legal investigation.

The Administrative Control Agency (ACA) announced the decision on its verified Facebook page, stating it was related to case No.178 and uncovered legal violations, although no further details were provided.

The suspension was issued by Abdullah Qadirbuh, head of the ACA, pending the investigation’s outcome. The ministry of oil has not yet received an official copy of the decision, according to a ministry source.

The ACA, responsible for overseeing government performance, holds authority to challenge appointments and ensure public accountability. While the minister’s full name was not disclosed, the ACA referred to him with only the initials of his name.
