Elon Musk’s brain-chip company, Neuralink, has showcased its groundbreaking technology by enabling its first patient, Noland Arbaugh, to control a cursor on a computer using an implanted device.
In a nine-minute livestream on X, Noland Arbaugh, who was paralyzed below the shoulders after a diving accident, demonstrated his ability to play chess online using the cursor controlled by the implanted chip.The surgery, which took place in January, was described as “super easy” by Mr. Arbaugh during the presentation.
He also shared his experience of using the brain implant to play the video game Civilization VI, expressing gratitude for being able to engage in activities he enjoyed before his accident.
