President Bola Tinubu has presented the 2024 budget proposal for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to the House of Representatives for consideration and approval.
The President’s letter, read during the plenary session on Tuesday, outlined the budget’s alignment with the fiscal and development policies of the federal government, as well as the Renewed Hope Agenda and the 2024/2026 economic recovery and growth plan.While specific estimates were not mentioned in the letter, it emphasized the FCTA’s focus on key areas such as healthcare services improvement, job creation, youth empowerment, and increased productivity in agriculture to alleviate poverty among citizens.
Following the reading of the letter, the Speaker directed that the request be referred to the Committee on Appropriation for further deliberation and eventual passage of the budget.
