President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to securing the Gulf of Guinea during a meeting with the Special Envoy of the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, at the State House, Abuja.
In response to a request for a state visit from President Mbasogo, presented by his Special Presidential Envoy and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simeon Oyono Esono Angue, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of revitalizing the Nigeria-Equatorial Guinea Joint Commission and fostering greater cooperation in various sectors, including oil and gas, and trade.
President Tinubu reiterated Nigeria’s commitment to enhancing maritime security and safety in the Gulf of Guinea, as highlighted in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, titled ‘Nigeria reaffirms commitment to enhancing maritime security in Gulf of Guinea.’
