President Bola Tinubu inaugurated an Economic Advisory Committee on Sunday, consisting of prominent figures in the economic sector such as Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, among others.
The committee’s purpose is to assist the Tinubu administration in addressing the numerous economic challenges facing the federal government. President Tinubu charged the committee with developing a policy framework to assess the administration’s successes and failures and revitalize the economy.
Comprised of leading figures from various economic sectors, including manufacturing and banking, the committee aims to address key issues such as economic revitalization, food security, and national security.
Aliko Dangote, speaking to State House Journalists after the meeting, expressed optimism about the committee’s discussions, emphasizing the importance of focusing on job creation, food security, and overall economic stability.
