Wema Bank has joined forces with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to introduce the NYSC-ALAT Accelerator Programme, unveiled during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding ceremony in Abuja.
The partnership aims to facilitate a seamless and prosperous transition into the workforce for young Nigerians through the initiative. The NYSC-ALAT Accelerator Programme seeks to equip youth undergoing the NYSC program with essential skills, job opportunities, and career development support to alleviate unemployment and underemployment challenges, consequently fostering economic growth and national advancement. The programme, designed by Wema Bank, will offer NYSC members access to grants and funding to establish sustainable income streams.
Additionally, participants will receive digital training in diverse areas such as design thinking, artificial intelligence, programming languages, and content creation, through a collaboration with Microsoft.
