Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has appointed Prof. Chukwumerije Okereke as a special adviser on Climate Policy and Sustainable Development.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Prof. Okereke and released to newsmen in Lagos on Tuesday.

In his new role, Prof. Okereke is tasked with designing and implementing science-based climate policies aimed at fostering sustainable development and long-term growth in Enugu State.

Born in Enugu, Prof. Okereke brings a wealth of expertise in climate governance, environmental policy, and international development to his new position.
