Arla Foods, the creator of Dano Milk, has announced the opening of a cutting-edge dairy farm in Kaduna State as part of the company’s efforts to secure sustainable milk production in Nigeria.
According to the announcement, El-Rufai stated that the newly commissioned dairy farm was an important milestone and game changer for Nigeria’s dairy sector. The Arla Farm, a Danish-designed dairy farm, is the first of its kind in Nigeria, according to the statement.
It has 400 hectares of land and can accommodate 400 milking cows and 1000 animals in total. Currently, the farm is home to 216 Danish Holstein cows, which came in May 2023 and are settling in well.
