CNEEC and SINOHYDRO are building a $1.3 billion facility in Niger state, Nigeria, according to THISDAY.

According to Aliyu, the last time the Nigerian government completed a project like the Zungeru Hydroelectric Power Project was in the 1960s, and the massive investment in the Zungeru power plant is part of the federal government’s commitment to improve electricity supplies across the country.
