The fourth Nigerian Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair will feature stakeholders emphasizing the prospects in the nation’s oil and gas sector.

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board will host the biennial exhibition, with the topic “The oil and gas industry – catalyst and fuel for the industrialization of Nigeria,” from May 17 to 19, at the NCDMB Convention Centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The Simbi Wabote-led NCDMB has presented short- to medium-term plans and activities of operators and project promoters in the upstream, middle, and downstream sectors of the Nigerian oil and gas industry in 2017, with the maiden edition held at Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The purpose of the fair, according to the NCDMB CEO, was to provide Nigerian service firms the opportunity to build relevant capacities.

The goal of the conference, he said, was also to reassure stakeholders of the industry that opportunities still abound in the Nigerian oil and gas industry and encourage them to look forward and invest in the sector, despite concerns about energy transition and other emerging developments in the global oil and gas industry.
