Osinbajo Unveils $600 Million in Financing for the ICT and Creative Industries

A $600 million program for young Nigerians in the technology and creative industries was introduced by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN.

The initiative is aimed for young Nigerians between the ages of 15 and 35 who are starting up innovative, creative, and technologically enabled businesses.

With no less than 180 businesses, Osinbajo claims that Nigeria’s technology ecosystem accounts for over 30% of financed enterprises in Africa.

Moreover, he exhorted African governments and the organized private sector to take additional steps to assist the expansion of innovation on the continent.
