Residents in the nation’s capital have been made aware of the spread of unlawful housing estates and other projects by the Federal Capital Territory Administration. This came as it reaffirmed its preparedness to destroy unauthorized buildings that were impeding the town’s master plan.
The listed estates are situated around Idu Railway Station, Apo Tapi, and Lugbe districts inside the Abuja Metropolitan Area Council, according to the director of the Department of Development Regulation, Mukhtar Galadima, who issued the warning during a press briefing.
He claims that the alert was required as a result of an increase in false social media advertisements posted by land speculators and illegal housing estate developers.
He remarked, “There are some regions of the city where individuals are building without any title developments, and this has caught our notice.
