Elections Won’t Cause A Network Shutdown, Says NCC

There won’t be a telecommunications outage for the polls, according to the Nigerian Communications Commission. it declared that every network operation will go normally.

In reaction to rumors that a network outage was being planned for the elections, it made this statement.
The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) issued the following statement:

“The attention of the Nigerian Communications Commission has been drawn to fraudulent and misleading information circulating in some social media platforms, insinuating there is a planned shutdown of all telecom networks and relevant ICT units, including online transfer facilities of the banks,

All bank customers, members of the Nigerian public, and users of telecoms services are urged to disregard these and similar messages that suggest a planned closure or disruption of services in the Nigerian telecom industry.
