A funding deal for €2.5 million has been agreed between the Bank of Industry and the French Development Agency to combat climate change in Nigeria.

The statement recalled the signing of a €100 million credit line by BoI and AFD in August 2022 for the promotion of green financing in Nigeria.

This will make a major difference in lowering Nigeria’s carbon impact. The technical assistant “will support BoI in the creation and execution of professional gender equality and gender lens investing policies, with particular attention to gender equality. ”

The BoI commitment to integrating sustainability into its business operations to generate strategic social, economic, and environmental impact in the areas the bank serves was acknowledged by Mr. Xavier Muron, Country Director for AFD, in light of the Paris Agreement.
