According to reports, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), which represents oil marketers, has ordered its members to halt all activities nationwide.
The Federal Government’s earlier threat to consider down filling stations this week if the price of gasoline is enforced at N195 per litre looks to be being followed through on by IPMAN.
This information was released in a statement from IPMAN Chairman Mohammed Kuluwa, who also stated that marketers had been instructed to postpone payment for product orders placed with the source until further notice.
“The decision follows the severe situation as it affects our sourcing and selling of product at loss and the action of the authority,” the association said in a statement.
