Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has pleaded with Nigerians to have patience with the federal government and Central Bank of Nigeria regarding the difficulties posed by the circulation of the new banknote.

He has also pleaded with the banking industry regulator to move quickly with the circulation.

But Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar said yesterday that certain bank executives were conspiring with the incumbent All Progressives Congress (APC) to thwart the distribution of the new naira notes in an effort to undermine the strategy.

He urged Nigerians to work with the federal government and the CBN to overcome challenges associated with the exercise.
