According to Bank CEO, Digital Banking can Promote Financial Inclusion.

Ademola Adebise, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank Plc, has stated that the development of technology and digital banking may significantly contribute to the country’s drive toward financial inclusion.

Wema Bank, which has been around for seven decades, is growing its branch network in the Federal Capital Territory because it is not only Nigeria’s capital but also a major business hub, home to thousands of microbusinesses and over 6,000 SME’s.

Similar to this, the bank has been a market leader in digital banking services since the release of ALAT by Wema, a program that provides a thorough banking and other digital transaction options.

“Also speaking at the event, the Chief Finance and Strategy Officer of the Bank, Tunde Mabawonku, said the bank has been in operational for 30 years in the FCT.

He added that the bank’s banking app has digitised banking experience and its customers are leveraging it to experience different types of services.
