Nigerian exporters were paid N81 billion by CBN.

The Center Bank of Nigeria (CBN) reported that it has given tenacious Nigerian exporters incentives totaling N81 billion.

At the 2nd Edition of the RT200 Biannual Non-Oil Export Summit, held at the Eko Hotel & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, the CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, announced this during a keynote speech.

Emefiele said, “While we see some reason for this, one of the purposes of the RT200 program is to assist hasten the development of industrialisation and motivate exporters to earn more from their export operations.

According to him, the conference examines what has been accomplished since the first summit and the outcome of the collaborative efforts by all stakeholders in the export value chain, as well as areas for further improvement and collaboration.
